2010 Official Rules & Regulations
This year’s program begins on August 21, 2010 and ends on September 30, 2010. Customers must present receipts to management office from any store or restaurant at RIVER VALLEY MALL. Qualifying receipts MUST BE FROM a retailer at River Valley Mall, on purchases made during the program period ONLY.
Any public or private K-12, elementary, middle, or high school in the Fairfield County School District is eligible to participate. Pre-Schools, colleges and other post-high school institutions are not eligible.
There will be two separate contests: one with prizes awarded to schools at the end of the program based upon total points from purchase receipts, with each dollar spent equaling one (1) point, and one with weekly prizes awarded to customers by random drawings of receipts.
For the total points prizes, each dollar spent equals 1 point. Any less than $.50 will be rounded down to the nearest dollar, and anything equal to or greater than $.50 will be rounded up to the nearest dollar (Ex. $10.45 = 10 points and $10.56 = 11 points). Double points will be given if the purchase was made on a Monday or Tuesday, or for River Valley Mall gift cards, and the receipt indicates as such. The highest points per student ratio will determine the winning schools. The total number of points for each school is divided by the number of students enrolled in the school, and all schools regardless of size will start with a minimum student enrollment of 150. Enrollment numbers will be provided by the schools. The in – mall tote board will be updated weekly with the leading schools according to points only; point per student ratio will not be calculated until the final week and will not be posted in the mall.
For the weekly prizes, the individual whose receipt is drawn at random will win a River Valley Mall Gift Card redeemable at River Valley Mall.
Purchases of bus passes, faxes and photo copies cannot be used as entries. Credit Card payments, even if made to a store at the mall, will not be accepted as entries. Store employees may not request, or copy, receipts from store customers in order to use them as entries. Additionally, stores (or store employees) may not hold receipts to give to schools to use for entries. Solicitation of stores by schools to hold receipts for such schools is prohibited.
Winners will be contacted within 5 business days of the drawing by phone, email and/or USPS mail.
