Earning for Learning
Official Rules & Regulations
2011 Official Rules & Regulations
There will be a new format this year: one prize will be awarded to a school at the end of each week (Monday through Sunday) based upon total points from purchase receipts for that current week, with each dollar spent equaling one (1) point.
For the total points prizes, each dollar spent equals 1 point. Any less than $.50 will be rounded down to the nearest dollar, and anything equal to or greater than $.50 will be rounded up to the nearest dollar (Ex. $10.45 = 10 points and $10.56 = 11 points). The highest points per student ratio will determine the winning school for the current week. The total number of points for each school is divided by the number of students enrolled in the school, and all schools regardless of size will start with a minimum student enrollment of 150. Enrollment numbers will be provided by the schools. The in – mall tote board will be updated weekly with the winning school according to total points earned.
Purchases of bus passes, faxes and photo copies cannot be used as entries. Credit Card payments, even if made to a store at the mall, will not be accepted as entries. Store employees may not request, or copy, receipts from store customers in order to use them as entries. Additionally, stores (or store employees) may not hold receipts to give to schools to use for entries. Solicitation of stores by schools to hold receipts for such schools is prohibited. A train ticket from "The Apple Express" will be awarded 150 total points. Any receipt that is dated on a Monday or Tuesday will be awarded double points. Charley's Steakery receipts will be awarded Triple points on any day, and so will River Valley Mall Gift Card purchases.
Winners will be contacted within 5 business days of the drawing by phone, email and/or USPS mail.
Weekly Winners will receive $1,200 for 1st place and $250 for second place.
Any public or private K-12, elementary, middle, or high school in the Fairfield County School District is eligible to participate. Pre-Schools, colleges and other post-high school institutions are not eligible.
